The canteen of our college is a favourite place for all students. It is a long, one-storey room beside the playground with a few tables and benches. Here we get tea, coffee, singara, samosa, burgers, sandwiches and cold drinks at reasonable prices. During the break, it is so crowded that one has to wait in a line. Although the canteen is small, it is kept fairly clean, and the college authority checks the food from time to time. Besides eating, the canteen is a place for chatting, discussing lessons and planning programmes. Many friendships begin over a cup of tea there. However, we should not throw wrappers on the floor or waste food. A good canteen adds to the happiness of college life.
