Spending money wisely is an art which everyone must learn. Money is earned with hard work, and so it should be spent with care. A wise person first makes a budget and divides his income into needs, savings and a small portion for enjoyment. He buys food, clothes, books and medicine before buying luxuries. A student who spends his pocket money on useless snacks or online games soon finds himself with an empty purse when he needs a book. On the other hand, extreme miserliness is also bad, because it deprives a person of reasonable comfort and generosity. The best way is the middle way: spend for need, save for the future and give something to the poor. If the habit starts in childhood, it protects us from debt and worry in adult life.
