Table Manners Paragraph for Class 9-10 and SSC (Standard Version)

Table manners are the unwritten code of courtesy which guides a person while eating, and they reveal the culture of a family and an individual more clearly than we think. A well-mannered person washes his hands, waits for the elders to begin and sits upright without leaning on the table. He eats quietly, chews with his mouth closed, does not talk while his mouth is full and passes dishes politely instead of stretching across others. If he is eating with a fork, spoon or knife, he handles them properly, and he uses a napkin rather than his sleeve. He does not criticise the food in front of the host, and he takes only what he can finish, since wasting food is a sin when so many go hungry. Manners at the table are not a matter of money; they are a matter of habit, and the habit begins at home.

Table Manners Paragraph Bangla Meaning (Class 9-10 and SSC, Standard Version)

Table Manners Paragraph for HSC (Standard Version)

A meal is among the few daily events at which a family gathers, and the manners observed at the table form a small, constant lesson in how to live with others. The child who learns to wait until everyone is served learns patience; the one who passes the dish before taking a second helping learns to consider others; and the one who thanks the cook learns gratitude. In a world where meals are increasingly taken alone in front of a screen, these lessons are at risk of being forgotten. Table manners differ from culture to culture. In our tradition, eating with the right hand and sharing from common dishes carry their own courtesies, while a Western dinner follows the rules of cutlery and napkins. What remains the same everywhere is the spirit: consideration for the people around us, respect for the food and a refusal to waste it. A person who has learnt this spirit will feel at home both in a village feast and at a formal banquet.

Table Manners Paragraph Bangla Meaning (HSC, Standard Version)
