Childhood is the golden age of life, and the memories of that time stay fresh in our mind for ever. I spent my childhood in a quiet village near the Dhaleshwari river, and the memory of those days is the sweetest treasure of my heart.
Our house had a mango orchard and a pond. In the morning, I went to the village school with my friends, walking along the narrow path through the paddy fields. After school, we ran to the field to play gollachhut, hide and seek and cricket with a bat made from a palm branch. In the monsoon, we sailed paper boats, and in autumn, we flew kites.
