I read in Rahmat Ali High School. It is a big school in our town. It has a two-storey building, a large playground and a library. There are twenty teachers and about six hundred students. Our headmaster is kind and strict. We have sports and cultural programmes. The school is clean and beautiful. I love my school.

My School Composition for Class 9-10 and SSC
A school is a temple of learning, and I am proud of my school, Rahmat Ali High School.
It stands in a quiet corner of our town, away from the main road. The school has a two-storey building with twelve classrooms, a science laboratory, a computer lab and a library of about three thousand books. In front of it, there is a large playground, and a flower garden makes the campus lovely.
There are about six hundred students and twenty-five teachers. The headmaster is a kind but disciplined man, and the teachers are devoted and friendly. We start the day with an assembly, in which we sing the national anthem and take the oath for discipline.
Annual sports, debate competitions and cultural programmes are held, and national days are observed with respect. The school has a good result in public examinations every year. I love my school and shall always be grateful to it.

বার্ষিক ক্রীড়া, বিতর্ক প্রতিযোগিতা ও সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠান হয়, আর জাতীয় দিবস শ্রদ্ধার সঙ্গে পালিত হয়। স্কুল প্রতি বছর সরকারি পরীক্ষায় ভালো ফল করে। আমি আমার স্কুল ভালোবাসি ও সব সময় এর কাছে কৃতজ্ঞ থাকব।

My School Composition for HSC
The school is the second home of a child and the nursery in which the plants of the nation are raised. I belong to Rahmat Ali High School, a school that has not only taught me my lessons but has shaped the way I think.
Founded in 1952 by a few local educationists, the school has grown from a tin-shed building to a respected institution of the district. It stands on three acres of land at the edge of the town, with a field in front and a mango orchard behind. The two-storey building houses well-ventilated classrooms, a science laboratory, a computer lab, a library and a prayer room. Recently, a multimedia classroom has been added.
The school has about eight hundred students and thirty teachers. The headmaster, Mr Karim, is a model of discipline and kindness. The teachers know their students by name and sometimes give extra classes free of charge. The students come from both rich and poor families, but in the school uniform, no difference can be seen.
Besides regular classes, the school gives importance to co-curricular activities. There is a Scout troop, a debating club, a science club and a cultural group. Every year, students take part in inter-school contests, and a few have even won national prizes. The observance of 21 February and 16 December makes us aware of our history.
What I have received from my school is not limited to certificates. It has taught me punctuality, teamwork and respect for others, and given me friends for life. When I leave it after SSC, I shall carry a part of it in my heart, and I hope to repay the debt by serving my community.

বিদ্যালয় শিশুর দ্বিতীয় ঘর ও জাতির চারাগাছ বড় করার নার্সারি। আমি রহমত আলী উচ্চ বিদ্যালয়ের, এমন স্কুল যা কেবল আমাকে পাঠ শেখায়নি, আমার ভাবনার ধরনও গড়েছে।
১৯৫২ সালে কয়েকজন স্থানীয় শিক্ষাবিদের প্রতিষ্ঠিত স্কুলটি টিনের ঘর থেকে জেলার সম্মানিত প্রতিষ্ঠানে পরিণত হয়েছে। এটি শহরের প্রান্তে তিন একর জমিতে, সামনে মাঠ ও পেছনে আমবাগান নিয়ে দাঁড়িয়ে। দোতলা ভবনে বায়ু চলাচলযুক্ত শ্রেণিকক্ষ, বিজ্ঞান গবেষণাগার, কম্পিউটার ল্যাব, লাইব্রেরি ও নামাজঘর আছে। সম্প্রতি মাল্টিমিডিয়া শ্রেণিকক্ষ যুক্ত হয়েছে।
স্কুলে প্রায় আটশো শিক্ষার্থী ও ত্রিশজন শিক্ষক আছেন। প্রধান শিক্ষক জনাব করিম শৃঙ্খলা ও দয়ার আদর্শ। শিক্ষকরা শিক্ষার্থীদের নাম ধরে চেনেন ও কখনো বিনা পয়সায় অতিরিক্ত ক্লাস নেন। শিক্ষার্থীরা ধনী-গরিব দুই পরিবার থেকে আসে, কিন্তু স্কুল ইউনিফর্মে কোনো পার্থক্য দেখা যায় না।
নিয়মিত ক্লাস ছাড়াও স্কুল সহশিক্ষা কার্যক্রমকে গুরুত্ব দেয়। স্কাউট দল, বিতর্ক ক্লাব, বিজ্ঞান ক্লাব ও সাংস্কৃতিক দল আছে। প্রতি বছর শিক্ষার্থীরা আন্তঃস্কুল প্রতিযোগিতায় অংশ নেয়, আর কয়েকজন জাতীয় পুরস্কারও জিতেছে। ২১ ফেব্রুয়ারি ও ১৬ ডিসেম্বর পালন আমাদের ইতিহাস সম্পর্কে সচেতন করে।
আমার স্কুল থেকে যা পেয়েছি তা সনদে সীমিত নয়। এটি আমাকে সময়নিষ্ঠা, দলগত কাজ ও অন্যের প্রতি শ্রদ্ধা শিখিয়েছে এবং আজীবনের বন্ধু দিয়েছে। এসএসসির পর ছাড়ার সময় আমি এর একটি অংশ হৃদয়ে নিয়ে যাব, আর আমার সম্প্রদায়ের সেবা করে ঋণ শোধ করার আশা রাখি।
